"New ministry works toward summer concert event"

BLOOMFIELD — Angel Peak Ministries is a new organization focused on bringing Christian summer camps, concerts and speakers to the area. The ministry also will be home to Liberty Shooting School.
The ministry program, incorporated in February, will kick off its presence with Spirit Fest, a Father's Day concert that features nine well-known Christian performers.

"There will be nine talents in eight hours," said Mary Helene Sullivan, founding member.

The event will start at 1:30 p.m. at the Angel Peak Ranch off of County Road 4990.

The talents include Mercy Me, The Afters, Dr. Dennis Swanberg, Bibleman, Bethany Dillon, Daniel Rodriguez, and Marla Kavanaugh, Trilby Michel, Paradigm and Loruss.

Tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for children over 6 years old.

"If you're a church, interested in offering (selling) tickets to your congregation, we'll tithe back a check of 10 percent of the ticket sales to your church," Sullivan said.

Promoting this event is a first for Sullivan, a lifelong rancher. She said the ministry just made some telephone calls to try to book musicians for the event and "that was like throwing a loop and having it catch."

"I've been holding on, barely holding on to a thread," she said.

The ministry is hopeful and excited to make a go of it with this premier event, as the goal is to "invite believers of all faiths to come together, put aside our differences and work together to: reunite hurting and displaced Christians with Godly fellowship, focus on shared values and move toward what truly unites us — our love of the Lord Jesus Christ," Sullivan said.
